The Early 60's

Biography: When I received my first camera at age 8 I began to understand that I was a voyeur. Watching other people helped me define my difference and, at the time, helped me try to figure out a way to fit in. Because that's what I thought I had to do. So I sought out a commonality. The current series of images from the early 1960s were taken in Manhattan when I was in high school. As I look at them now, I not only see the men, I see the girl I was when I took them. I see her search and am moved and completely understand her choice of subject in seeking out that commonality.
