Biography: Olivier Borson, a French photographer born in 1963, lives in Reunion Island, a French territory close to Madagascar. He studied medicine, but also found time for photography when he was not practicing medicine. Borson has been taking photographs since his adolescence, finding inspiration from his early passion for expedition stories, and later for traveling, medical assistance with mountain expeditions, outdoor racing, and overseas car rallies. Borson was also influenced by his National Geographic reading and was particularly impressed by Steve McCurry’s photographs.
