The inner dialog going on in their head as they clutched the pieces of what was left of their surfboard. Many felt like they had just come a little too close to not making it back at all. To say the least, most surfers felt a little humbled that day. Sure the Laird Hamilton’s of this world were shooting the pier on 14 foot faces, but for mere mortals, the average Joe, it was more a question of pure survival. This series is dedicated to that average guy who had the courage to go out that day, or the insanity, depending on your point of view. |
