Biography: I enjoy visiting a place for the first time, or the twenty second time. I am attracted to the serendipity of the moment. To quote Balzac, it is the 'Gastronomy of the Eye'. I don't stage, and I use film. What you see in the photograph was what was before me when I framed it and pressed the shutter. My photographs are silver gelatin, hand printed in the darkroom, using traditional chemistry, and not manipulated digitally in any way. Vera Fotografia. Genuine photography.
