UK Nominee Silhouette Professional "Childhood " Its very interesting everytime when we are get in touch with children because they see things different, they think different, most important is the world in their eye is different compare to us....ca ManChingKC (Man Yuen-Ching) is a Hong Kong-born, UK-based fine art photographer whose career spans over three decades. Ignited by a passion for the darkroom at seventeen, his journey traversed frontline photojournalism and the magazine industry before establishing his independent studio in 2003. While mastering technical precision for commercial work, he quietly cultivated a personal sanctuary for artistic exploration, developing an intuitive command over light and shadow. His artistic vision has garnered prestigious accolades, notably winning 2nd Place (Merit of Excellence) in the Professional Silhouette category at the 2019 Black & White Spider Awards. Furthermore, his 2017 fine art photobook, Shek-O: Magic Place, was officially acquired by the Hong Kong Central Library's esteemed "Hong Kong Art Collection" in 2019. Following his relocation to the UK in 2022, ManChingKC began unveiling his private archives. Through minimalist compositions and raw contrasts, he transforms everyday landscapes into transcendental narratives, using the camera as a soulful language to reveal the true essence of things. |
