Biography: Wendi Schneider is a visual artist illuminating impressions of the natural world with photography and precious metals. Inspired by a background in painting, art history and the lush beauty of Memphis, New Orleans and New York, she began painting photographs in the early '80s, and is now gilding vellum and kozo prints for her 'States of Grace' series. Exhibited and collected internationally, her work is held in collections at New Orleans Museum of Art, Memphis Brooks Museum, and Auburn University Library. She is represented by A Gallery For Fine Photography and the Catherine Couturier Gallery.
