Biography: Gertjan van Geerenstein is a people person with an amazing sensitivity for peoples' emotions. He is an autodidact photographer and his specialties are people and street photography. There is a polarity in his work, it shows strong contrasts in black & white that seem to be hard and raw but if you look deeper you'll discover the vulnerability of people. Gertjan likes to make people he photographs feel save and relaxed. He captures that special move, touch or look, and you can almost feel the emotions in his pictures.
