Szymon Kobusinski
Poland Nominee Fine Art Professional "SELF PORTRAIT" MY EXPERIENCES. MY EMOTIONS. Graduate of National Film School in Lodz, Poland. Portrait Photography has always been his passion. He has photographed notables of Culture, politicians and top business leaders. He is equally passionate about underwater photography. �Whaternet�, �(un)fulfilled with color� and �Metamorphosis� are some of the latest and most critically acclaimed series. He has created dozens of individual photographic projects, which have been presented during numerous exhibitions and events such as �O2� (Leica Gallery), �The Medalists� (the exhibition created in cooperation with Polish Para-Olympic Committee), �Passion� (patronage of The President of Polish Ski Federation), �To Save From Oblivion� (honorary patronages of Polish Presidents R. Kaczorowski and L. Kaczynski; presented in Polish Embassy in London, Royal Baths in Warsaw and Polish Senate), �The Light of Life� (honorary patronage of The Federation of Polish Artists, presented in Grand Theatre in Warsaw and also in London, Szczecin, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan), �My Time� and �Another World� (National Theatre in Warsaw). For over 15 years Szymon has been sharing his experience with students. Currently he is a lecturer at Warsaw School of Advertising and Study Centre at Polish Federation of Photographers. He has also been a lecturer for postgraduate students at National Film School in Lodz, Academy of fine art in Cracow and University of Maria Sklodowska-Curie in Lublin. He conducted training session for numerous photographic brands (Nikon, Nokia, Sigma, Konica-Minolta). He has been a mentor at Photo Lab Nokia Trends 2007, a member of the jury during first edition of the Nikon Film Festival 2010 and Discover Europe: Pan European Photo Contest for Students.� In 2014 he gave a lecture on sources of inspiration in photography during New Japanese Technologies Forum at Japanese Art and Technology Centre MANGGHA in Cracov. The project has been organized under a honorary patronage of Embassy of Japan in Poland and included by Embassy of Japan and Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the official agenda of �Visegrad Group +Japan 2014� events. Szymon is a multiple awards winner. Among the others he received 1st prize in the professional photographers competition �Stylish Nokia� in 2004 and honorary mention during International Photography Awards 2013 for a photo of the Polish rock band �Perfect�. In the last edition of IPA 2014 he won 2nd prize for the film �Metamorphosis�. With this picture he was also nominated in the Moving Images Photographer of the Year category in one of the most prestigious competitions in the world � Lucie Awards. He was nominated in the visual effects category during BOKEH Fashion Film Festival in Cape Town for �Metamorphosis� and �O2�. Szymon is also a co-author of the documentary film �Man of Perfect� (2004), and a producer of the feature film �1409 The Affair in the Bartenstein Castle�. He is also the author of numerous video clips of polish rock and pop artists. He gets involved in public campaigns such as �The Noble Pack�, �Transcript of the Future�, �Safe Crossing�. Szymon is a co-founder of Studio Bank, Photoproduction brands and the �Save from Oblivion� foundation. An underwater photography is my another great passion that I develop in unique projects, in which I obtain amazing visual effects. The leitmotiv that binds most of my works is Passion. I created a multitude of individual photography projects, that where presented at many exhibitions e.g. �O2� (Leica Gallery), �Medalists� (in cooperation with Polish Paraolimpic Cometee), �Passion� (under the patronage of Polish Ski Federation�s Prime Minister), �Save from oblivion� (exhibition under the Honor Patronage of Presidents R. Kaczorowski and L. Kaczynski, shown at i.a. the Polish Embassy in London, The Royal Lazienki in Warsaw, the Senate of Poland), �Ray of Life� (under the Honor Patronage of Polish Artists Association, exhibited i.a. at The Great Theatre in Warsaw, London, Szczecin, Gdansk, Wroclaw, Poznan), �My world� and �Another world� (exhibited at The National Theatre in Warsaw). I am also engaged in social campaigns i.a. The Noble Box Project, Indeks Przyszlosci and Bezpieczny Przejazd. Moreover, I am a co-founder of Studio Bank, Photoproduction Sp. z o.o., D18 Academy and The Save from Oblivion Foundation. |
