Carrie Johnson has been taking pictures since a camera was first put into her hands as a child. Her passion for photography was both shared with and nurtured by her father. Once in high school, she took her first photography class and fell in love with the dark room. That passion continued through college, and she graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Imaging and Photographic Technology. After she moved to the island of Oahu in Hawaii she had her first solo exhibit, “Bursts of Color” at the Canon Gallery in Honolulu, which rekindled her love for photography (April 2016). She is a member of the Professional Photographers of Hawaii as well as the Hawaii Photographic Society and Eyes of Hawaii.
