"Black Days"
In the city of Prados, Minas Gerais, the eighteenth-century buildings draw attention for their Grandiosity. After visiting the city a few times, when the historic center has been seen and revised, came the idea of photographing the front of houses with their large doors and windows from an unusual angle to me from the bottom up. This positioning that lifts the dimensions over the observer emphasized the monumental architecture. While traveling in Minas Gerais, I noticed how the population shows dismay when talking about the tragedy that was the collapse of tailing dams of a mining company. In this photograph, the black sky is reminiscent of the grief atmosphere originated from that monumental tragedy.
