USA Honorable Mention Portrait Amateur "Drowning" My name is Kimani, I was born in London but grew up in the States. Photography hit me when I was thirteen and continues to do so till this day. It's one of those things that’s always on my mind from day to night; pushing me to exercise my shutter. Generally, I'm most happy connecting with the people I photograph (including myself) and having the final image portray that connection. In post, I tend to wrestle with my images; fighting them into perfection. I am currently in my second year as a photography major, and have been honored by the Photo Valley Center with a number of cherished awards. After graduation, I plan to further my education at the London College of Arts, so that I may continue my fight with photography. |
