This photo was shot on a staircase of a very old building in Zadar, Croatia. My daughter was at the ground floor looking up at me. I duplicated the stairs on the right side because the composition and the motif reminded me of a Dutch graphic artist M. C. Escher whose works I have admired since childhood. His work features exploration of infinity, reflection, symmetry, perspective & impossible objects.
Biography: I work as an Associate Professor at Faculty of Graphic Arts, University of Zagreb, where I teach several graduate and undergraduate courses about photography. Area of my research relates to printing technology, digital photography and graphic design. I'm a member of the CIE Commission - Division 8, TC8-09 (International Commission on Illumination).
