This photo was shot on a staircase of a very old building in Zadar, Croatia. My daughter was at the ground floor looking up at me. I duplicated the stairs on the right side because the composition and the motif reminded me of a Dutch graphic artist M. C. Escher whose works I have admired since childhood. His work features exploration of infinity, reflection, symmetry, perspective & impossible objects.
Biography: Maja Strgar Kurecic is a fine art photographer and an Associate Professor of photography at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
