Biography: As an artist I am attracted by the interaction of shapes, textures, reflections, soft and hard surfaces. Removing the sense of scale from my images I use photography as a selective tool to bring order to visually complex and chaotic scenes. I like the craft of photography, the abstract quality of black and white images, working with film cameras and making hand-coated platinum prints, a historic print making process developed in the 1800s.
