A BLEND OF FINE ART, NATURE & ARCHITECTURE

I have been pursuing a career as a fine art photographer since I since I began to travel in my early 20s. Having studied painting sculpture and design at the Chicago Art Institute the addition of photography as another manifestation the visual arts seemed only logical. Many famous American photographers such as Irving Penn and Gordon Parks were also active in the field of painting and drawing. My interest in the abstract art of the mid-20th century manifested itself in my fine art photography which included abstract color photographs of walls and other architectural elements. My interest has also led me in a number of directions; architecture fascinates me; I love to photograph abstracted forms, ruins, walls, steps and arches. Many of the books I have published have been on ancient ruins around the world. I consider myself very fortunate to have the opportunities presented to me to be allowed to photograph many of the ancient ruins at all hours of the day and night.
