Biography: Olena is a Ukrainian photographer and visual artist based in Italy. Art and photography have been part of her life since childhood. Trained as a lawyer, she considers the Kyiv School of Photography her photographic alma mater.
For Olena, photography is a way of living creativity. Her practice is rooted in close observation: attention to details, subtle elements and unexpected visual connections. She is drawn to the fascinating within the ordinary, finding aesthetic pleasure in textures, shadows, surface imperfections and the interplay of light and colour.
