Biography: Matt Beard
/ b.1972 Venice, CA
I grew up on the Westside of Los Angeles, CA. From the early 1980's through the end of the 90's I could usually be found on the beach, or in a backyard...surfing waves, skating rickety plywood ramps, or grinding across the cracked plaster of some neighbor's empty pool.
I picked up my first camera in a 10th grade Black & White photography class at Venice High. I quickly fell in love with the process. Everything from shooting, to developing the film and printing in the darkroom. It became my #1 idea of a good time.
