Australia Nominee Photojournalism Amateur "The Last Protector" A statue of Christ protects the soul of a deceased person in Spain I grew up in regional Australia, where I often witnessed the power of nature, both the good and the bad. Occasionally nature could be both beautiful and brutal at the same time, but it always left me in awe. I then came to Melbourne where I worked as a designer but was interested in photography from early on. In the last 5 years I have been able to concentrate on my photography. I see patterns, lines, colours and shapes that change in different lights and I take shots to forever set a place card in my memory. 2024 was the first year that I entered international competitions and I was honored to receive 2 Honorable Mentions in the Color Awards, alongside 2nd and 3rd place subcategory wards from IPA, a Gold subcategory Award and 2 Honorable Mentions from PX3. |
