"On Eros, Abstracted"
A quiet study in the abstraction of eros
Biography: Jacinta Tomyn challenges the boundaries of what it means in both roles as a female photographer and muse exploring the beauty of the human form and the taboos of sensuality and eroticism, while challenging the meaning and relevance of the nude as an artform.
Working primarily in black and white, Jacinta’s imagery is rich with contrast - visually and emotionally. Each frame is guided by an introspective dialogue between artist and self, viewer and viewed. Vulnerability becomes strength. Stillness becomes narrative.
