UK Nominee Still Life Professional "Communications" Photography became a major part of my life after receiving a recommendation from the BBC WILDLIFE competition back in 1994. Up to that point, despite being a very active photographer, with no formal training or qualifications I had considered photography only a serious hobby. As a result of the BBC award I decided to take a career change, closed my Garden Landscape business and sank full on into Wildlife photography. After several years capturing nature on film and discovering several new species along the way I began working for a major Science Photo Library and eventually moved on to sign a contract with Getty Images where my work evolved into being more conceptual I continue this line of work today but also produce a large amount of Black and White landscape photography using a large format camera. |
