Anita Licis-Ribak
Spain Nominee Abstract Amateur "Chance Encounters" Anita Licis-Ribak is a freelance photographer, artist and designer currently based in Barcelona, Spain. Her photography has earned her many awards including First Place in the regional juried art show, Finalist of the New England Portfolio Review Show, Honor Awards in the 9th Annual International Photography Competition, and in the 6th and 9th Black and White Spider Awards. Her work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions throughout the USA, including in solo photography exhibit about returning to the urban spaces of Riga Latvia entitled ‘City on The Sea. Fragments of Riga’. Anita's photographs have been selected to be part of juried photography exhibitions at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Denver, Colorado, the Minneapolis Photography Center, Minnesota, the Fraser gallery in Bethesda, Maryland, the Vermont Center of Photography, the PhotoPlace Gallery in Vermont, and at the A.P.E. Gallery in Northampton, Massachusetts, among others. Her lecture venues include Smith College, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, and the American Latvian Artist Association's conference in New York. |
