AJ Raina
India Nominee Fine Art Professional "Creation" AJ started learning photography in September 2007, never having assisted anybody nor having studied photography professionally. His key areas of interest are fashion, art, editorial, people and advertising photography. He has won multiple awards on the international photography circuit during this time. In the last 5 years he has won over 37 awards ranging from honors at the Hasselblad Masters in Copenhagen, Denmark (2008), the International Photography Awards (IPA) in Los Angeles (2008) and New York (2009), the World Photographic Arts (WPA) Spider Awards in London (2008 & 2012), the Prix De La Photographie (PX3) in Paris, France (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) the Get Framed 2 (2010) competition in India. In June-July 2011 he won 18 awards in Paris at the Prix De La Photographie and was invited to be on the official jury of the Eventful India Photography Awards alongside some of the most respected names in the industry. In August 2011, the Blender's Pride Resource Book honoured him as one of India's 'Faces Of Fashion', part of a very special and talented group of professionals from India's fashion industry. In June 2012 he won 1st Place for Outstanding Achievement at the 7th Annual Black & White Spider Awards. This was followed by 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and 7 Honorable Mentions at the Prix De La Photographie in Paris, also in June 2012. AJ is represented in India and the US and is in the process to work increasingly between New Delhi, Mumbai and New York. |
