Biography: Since 1978, women have been the main subject of Barend Houtsmuller's work, in which beauty prevails above eroticism. He has worked with famous artists like with Duane Michaels, Christian Vogt and Ansal Adams. Barend's photographs seem ageless and have been exhibited in many countries in Europe and abroad. His work is accepted in collections like the Amsterdam Rijksmuseum, The International Polaroid Collection, Bibliothique Nationale Paris and the Bert Hartkamp collection and has been published by Feierabend Verlag and Prometheus. Barend is a member of Dupho, Amsterdam.
