Russia Nominee Fine Art Professional "Dangerous Game" Was born in 1974, lives in Moscow suburb, Russia. As many modern russian photographers has technical background, self-taught in photography. Works as freelance photographer. From the beginning prefers film cameras, he develops and prints black and white negatives in darkroom which he owns with few friends. Maxim dislikes digital cameras and digital manipulation for cheating, even though uses entirely digital workflow for commercial work; he is confident that even properly perform color correction he learned through long experience of scanning color negatives. He believes that real things are much more interesting than any fiction. The same concerning ideas in photography, Maxim doesn’t like to think out ideas from his head, instead he just watches around and finds them in real life. Favourite genre - portraits and generally staged photography of people, as artwork or for customers, also by order shoots things and interiors. He likes to work equally as in the open air and in the studio. In life most of all he is carried away by useless things, something that was made or is being done for no any gain. And watch something or someone. Favourite films - black and white negatives, format - 6x6, camera - Hasselblad. |
