Switzerland Nominee People Professional "Shepherd and his Flock" Shepherd drives his flock of sheep along a rough trail though rocky terrain in Swiss alps. Born in 1966, Switzerland. As a young man I was fascinated by photography and studied at the Schule fuer Gestaltung in Bern and Ecole d'Art Applique in Vevey. In the early years I worked as a freelance photographer for press media and on assignments. Now I work as a stringer photographer for the news agency Thomson Reuters Pictures and I am a member of the Vienna based photo agency ASAblanca. Most of my work is documentary photography and my projects focus on the region I live. Based in the Canton of Wallis in southern Switzerland I work with the daily life of people & their traditions. |
