France Nominee Abstract Professional "the real me, the dream me" I am born the 1st of July in vincennes, France. I grow in a wonderful family where my mother was interested in arts and mainly painting. I was playing piano and working on ceramics and silk painting till about 14 years old. After I turn my way to martial arts where I began to practice kyokushin karaté. I did my army in French bataillon de Joinville in french national team of karaté . Later I opened a dojo (karaté school) and a fitness center in Cannes, from 1982 till 1987 . During the film festival in 1986, I met Ms Linda Cheng which was an actress and a model of Robert Mappletorpe ; This meeting was the reason of a big changing in my Professional life. Linda invite me the same year to come to visit her in New-York , and I met the photographic world of Robert Mappletorpe which make me fall in love for photography. This meeting with the art of Robert make me decide to become a photographer. The next year I sold my fitness and decide to study photography and cinéma at school of visual art in New-York from 1988 till 1992. In 1993 , I study photojournalism at I.C.P. (International center of photography) During this time I worked also in the press agency Magnum in New-York. Returning to Paris in 1994, I began to be photo assistant in fashion untill 1997. My last assisting job was with the photographer Raymond Meier. I began to work as a photographer since 1997 . Full of my time is dedicated to photography,but also yoga ,Gi Gong , méditation and nutrition. |
