Biography: I aspired to become a photographer as a child, but the subject was not available until I went to college. One of my teachers there, Dr Jan Donaldson, (now an internationally renowned metal smither, visual artist and scholar) inspired me with her passion for making art. She encouraged me never to be afraid to show my work, to keep developing, and avoid being marginalised despite the lack of resources in regional areas.
I now live in Dookie, Australia, (population 250). My need to photograph the world around me is ever-present and I strive to present the significant within the ordinary.
