"Ice Storm"
Frozen silver feather maiden grass, taken shortly after an ice storm as it was melting.
Biography: Back when I was a kid in the 1970s, my father gave me a point and shoot camera and encouraged me to take black and white pictures. I have been drawn to the timeless quality of black and white photography ever since. It allows me to distill a moment down to its essence, stripping away the distractions of color to reveal the underlying emotion.
With camera in hand, I use photography as a tool to observe and connect with the world around me.
