Australia Nominee Architectural Professional "Terminal" "I 'borrowed' my father's Box Brownie camera one day back in the Sixties and never gave it back! He always had a camera in his hands and specialised in holiday photographs of the family. Not just happy snaps but images easily construed as 'photojournalism' And so begun my love and passion and an often futile attempt to emulate the naturalness of my father's images." Robert is a successful British born commercial photographer and photographic fine artist who employs a broad range of image-making disciplines and processes. His passion and �office� is Sydney�s wonderful Harbour and surrounds where he now resides but is also a sought after architectural and interior design practitioner as well as a social and portrait photographer as principal of �brindleyimages� in Sydney, Australia. His work is in private and commercial collections here in Australia and overseas and is a recent finalist in the internationally important Black and White Spider Awards in the Architecture category and also the Photography Masters Cup , most recently in the 5th Annual awards. From using his fathers Kodak Box Brownie camera on school excursions at an early age to the latest in digital technology in recent years, his passion is for capturing the world around around him from the perspective of a still practicing fine artist. His pastel, ink and acrylic paintings are also in public and private collections in Australia and overseas. |
